Dr. Cinalli has been in practice for 33 years (1981) and has been with Alvernon Optical since 1992. He especially enjoys helping those who have special contact lens needs. He enjoys playing guitar, bicycling, hiking and reading.

Dr. Cinalli graduated from West Virginia University as well was Salus Universtiy (formerly Pennsylvania College of Optometry) in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Southern Arizona Optometric Society.

Dr. Murphy has been in practice for 42 years (1972) and has been with Alvernon Optical since 2011. He has participated in medical eye missions to Africa, Russia, Central America, South America and Mexico. His vast experience includes eleven years as an emergency room eye trauma doctor. Dr. Murphy’s special interests include being a pilot.

Dr. Murphy is a graduate of Pacific University College of Optometry – Forest Grove, Oregon.

Dr. Peterson graduated from Purdue University as well as Indiana University School of Optometry in Bloomington, Indiana. She is a member of the Arizona Optometric Association and Southern Arizona Optometric Society.

Dr. Laura Schillig

Dr. Carol Schulte

Dr. Carol Schulte has been practicing optometry since 1992, after graduating from the Southern California College of Optometry at Marshall B. Ketchum University. She is a seasoned optometrist who specializes in primary eye care and who – in her spare time – enjoys crafting and visiting her family.

Fun fact about Dr. Schulte: she holds an undergraduate degree in Medical Technology which she received from the University of Hawaii in Manoa, Oahu.

Dr. Schwartz has been in practice for 34 years (1986). He recently moved to Arizona, leaving his long time practice in Ithaca, NY. He has participated in eyecare missions to Bolivia, Mexico, and Honduras. Outside of the office, he enjoys golf, mountain biking, horseback riding with his wife, and travelling.

Dr. Schwartz graduated from Hamilton College and received his doctorate from the State University of New York, College of Optometry, in NYC.

Dr. Richard Baim

Dr. Richard Baim received his doctor of optometry degree (O.D.) in 1983 and his bachelor of visual science degree (B.S.V.S.) in 1981 from the Illinois College of Optometry. His under graduate degree, bachelor of science (B.S.), from the University of Arizona was presented in 1978. Dr. Baim has been employed in many different facets of optometry prior to opening his own office, Silverbell Eyecare Center, in 1990. Dr. Baim was the co-head of optometry for Cigna of Tucson and the Indian Health Services at Sells and San Xavier. He also was the staff optometrist for Westside Eye Physicians, the opthalmology practice of Dr. Sidney Cotner. Since 1985, Dr. Baim has been the team optometrist for the University of Arizona athletic department and in the past has been an eyecare consultant to the Tucson Toros, USA baseball, Pima Community College, Tucson SideWinders, and various professional athletes.

Dr. Baim’s is motivated by his need to provide comprehensive eyecare to patients in a friendly, thorough,and compassionate manner and one not dependent on time constraints. Dr. Baim enjoys educating his patients about their examination and visual concerns. Whether it’s answering questions or explaining the examination results, Dr. Baim is more than happy to spend the quality time he feels all patients deserve.
